Raj Dugar
Senior Managing Director
Raj is the Senior Managing Director at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited. Raj has over ten years of leadership experience in the Indian private equity industry, with experience of investing across multiple stages and industries.
During his private equity career, Raj has also worked in The Carlyle Group and Merlion (Temasek-Standard Chartered JV) and was earlier the co-founder and Managing Director of WestBridge Capital Partners (now Sequoia India).
Raj started his career as a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton where he worked both in USA and India. He subsequently worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for India coverage and served on the board of Goldman’s then JV partner Kotak Mahindra Capital.
Raj holds an AB degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA degree from MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a charter member of TiE and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO).
Shyam Kamadolli
Director
Shyam is a Director at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited, where he focuses on sectors that include technology, media and telecommunications. Shyam has 16 years of experience in operating and investing roles and a long commitment to entrepreneurship.
Shyam was most recently a Senior Associate at Fidelity Growth Partners Europe in Boston where he supported our US fund's investments in Teliris, Kajeet, MFG.com and Verid (acquired by EMC).
Previously, Shyam led worldwide business development for the data security division of RSA Security, where he seeded and developed a strategic relationship that resulted in the largest tech M&A transaction of 2006; the company was acquired by EMC.
From 2001 to 2004, he was a Senior Consultant at Progress Partners LLC, a boutique consulting group in Boston. Shyam has founded or served on the senior management teams of several start-up ventures including a wireless software leader, a payment systems company, and a broadband service provider.
Shyam holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Bombay, a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, and MBA degrees from both the London Business School and Columbia Business School.
Pallav Mehta
Analyst
Pallav is an Analyst at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited. Pallav has 2 years of experience in Investment Banking across M&A and capital markets.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Pallav was an Analyst at the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in Mumbai where he worked on transactions in Healthcare, Media and Services sectors. Pallav’s previous experience includes stints at McKinsey & Company and STMicroelectronics.
Pallav holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
Kabir Narang
Director
Kabir is a Director at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited, where he focuses on sectors that include IT and business services, healthcare delivery, education and financial services. Kabir brings over 15 years of experience in running his family owned business, management consulting and private equity.
Most recently, Kabir was with Warburg Pincus where he completed investments in a leading budget hotel chain, a port and a BPO company in India. At the firm, he worked extensively in healthcare delivery, financial services (including managing portfolio investments in Kotak Mahindra Bank, Max India) and IT Services/BPO.
Prior to that, he has worked at leading consulting firms, McKinsey & Co. (India) and the Boston Consulting Group (USA). His consulting projects were focused in the areas of strategy and business building in the US, UK and India.
Kabir holds a BA Hons degree in Mathematics from St. Stephen's College and an MBA from the University of Oxford.
Prem Pavoor, Ph.D.
Director
Prem is a
Director at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited, where he focuses on sectors that include life sciences, speciality chemicals, agriculture, infrastructure (waste and water management), and energy. Prem brings a cumulative 10 years of experience in management consulting, engineering consulting and technology research, both in the United States and in India.
Most recently, Prem was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company (New Jersey and India) where he advised pharmaceutical/biotech, consumer goods and private equity clients on areas that included R&D, business development, post-merger integrations and manufacturing.
Prior to McKinsey, Prem served as an engineering consultant to the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (Japan) and to Alkermes, Inc. (US) on design and scale-up of manufacturing processes.
Prem’s doctoral thesis work, performed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston), focused on enhancing the performance of medical implants. The work is the subject of several international peer-reviewed publications and a U.S. patent. Prem was awarded the 2004 MIT-OMNOVA award for Excellence in Polymer Research for his thesis contribution.
Prem holds a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly UDCT), Mumbai, a MS and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering Practice from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
Raul Rai
Managing Director
Raul is a Managing Director at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited. Raul has been active in the Indian private equity industry since 2005 with experience investing across sectors such as Technology, Health Care, Financial Services, Telecom, Education and Media.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Raul spent five years with General Atlantic, initially in the US and subsequently in Mumbai, India. Raul also spent over 10 years in Investment Banking covering the Health Care, Technology, Telecom and Media sectors at Goldman Sachs, UBS and SG Cowen (based in New York and London) where his clients included large telecom and media companies including Vodafone, Verizon, RIM, Red Hat, Olivetti and Dow Jones. Raul also served as the Strategy and Planning Director for Vizzavi, a joint venture between Vodafone and Vizzavi.
Raul holds an MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar) and a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Boston University. He is currently on the board of VECV, a joint venture between Eicher Motors and Volvo.
Abhinav Sinha
Director
Abhinav is a Director at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited. Abhinav has a decade of experience in management consulting and private equity.
Most recently, Abhinav worked with CLSA Capital Partners in Singapore, where he was involved in private equity investing and post-investment management in medium sized, growth oriented companies in India and South East Asia. His focus was on firms in the Industrial Goods, Power, Energy and Consumer spaces and he worked closely with the Boards of 4 listed and 2 unlisted companies in India.
Prior to that, Abhinav was a Principal with Boston Consulting Group, where he led projects with large conglomerates as well as emerging firms in the telecom, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods industries for 7 years. His projects were largely in areas of corporate finance, operational improvement, and organizational development.
Abhinav holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from REC, Trichy and an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Arjunjit Singh
Analyst
Arjunjit is an Analyst at FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited. Arjunjit has over 3 years of experience in Investment Banking, with considerable expertise in the Telecommunications, Media and Passive Infrastructure sectors.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Arjunjit was an Associate, Investment Banking, at UBS Securities, Mumbai, where his clients included Reliance Communications, Vodafone Essar, Dish TV and Network18. Prior to that, Arjunjit was an Analyst at UBS Investment Bank, New York, where his clients included large Telecom and Media companies including AT&T, Verizon, NBC Universal, Frontier Communications and NTELOS.
Arjunjit holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Management, with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship, from Cornell University, where he graduated magna cum laude. While at Cornell University, Arjunjit was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society.
Arjunjit holds a Series 7 license.
Anurag Sud
Analyst
Anurag is an Analyst with FIL Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited. Anurag has 2 years of experience in Investment Banking across domestic and cross-border M&A and debt advisory.
Prior to Fidelity, Anurag has worked with the financial advisory practice of Rothschild in Mumbai where his transaction experience spanned across telecom, information technology, financial services and industrials sectors.
Anurag holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
